Starting out, I’m limited on storage and transportation for a large extension ladder. Shopping around, I needed a ladder that could get me up high, but that I could also strap to the top of my 99’ Forester. Enter The Beast.
This 26 foot, 50 lb mother certainly isn’t for the faint of heart and takes planning, caution, and grace to handle. Is it the best tall ladder out there? No. Do I happily look forward to loading and unloading it? Uh, no. But it’s safe, bombproof, folds down to 6’, and gets me up as high as I’m comfortable working.
Someday soon I’ll have a lighter, more nimble extension ladder. But come that day I’ll look back fondly on my time with The Beast. Kind of like your first car, inherited from Grandma. Big, bulky, and a trusty terror to behold.
